Fully exploring overseas markets, accelerating the improvement of international operational capabilities, and enhancing the ability to integrate global resources are crucial aspects of SAIC Motor's innovative development strategy.
Through extensive cooperation, SAIC Motor has become the first automotive enterprise in China to "go global with the entire industrial chain". It has initially established a globally-oriented automotive industrial chain integrating R&D, manufacturing, marketing, finance and logistics, and has set up nine overseas vehicle manufacturing bases and KD plants. Its products and services have entered more than 170 countries and regions worldwide, with over 3,800 global marketing and service outlets. The company has also established its first overseas financial service company in Indonesia and set up SAIC Insurance Company in Hong Kong to provide comprehensive auto financing and insurance services for overseas dealers and end consumers. Moreover, SAIC Motor has launched eight international shipping routes from China to Mexico, the Persian Gulf, the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, Northwest Europe, and beyond, operating 21 ocean-going vessels to fully explore global markets.
